Students will work in groups to write 10 multiple choice questions each covering material from Chapters 1-5, similar in difficulty to questions asked in class. The groups will then exchange exams and take the practice exams individually within 10 minutes before reviewing answers together. The TAs will compile high quality questions into a final practice exam to further aid studying.

    Eachgroupwillberesponsibleforcreating10multiplechoicequestions.Youwillhaveapproximately

    todesignyourexamandformulateyourquestions.Asyoucreateyourquestionshave
    someonewithgoodhandwritingwriteupeachquestiononthepracticeexamsheetprovidedtoyouby

    Nottoodifficult.YourquestionsshouldbesimilarindifficultytotheTopHatquestions
    askedinclass.
    WhattypeofquestionsshouldIask?Hereisanexample:

    TakeapracticeExam

    Whenallgroupshavefinishedmakingtheirexams.Eachgroupwillpasstheirpracticeexamon
    tothenextgroup.Onceyouvereceivedapracticeexamfromanothergroupyouwillhave
    10minutes
    totaketheexam(1minperquestion).Duringthesetenminutesyoushouldworkonthepracticeexam
    individually,withouttheassistanceofyourcoursepackorlecturenotes!Thiswillbestprepareyoufor
    therealexam.

    ofclassyoumayuseyourcoursepackandlecturenotestocomplete
    yourpracticeexam(ifyouhaventalreadydoneso).Youmayalsodiscussiontheexamwithyourpeers
    orwithmembersofthegroupthatcreatedit.
