BASIC SAFETY RULES
Parabolic Drugs Ltd. (PDL) gives priority to Safe Work. The basic idea
of these rules is to keep good health of all
men, material, machinery and environment inside PDL premises.
It is expected that all should follow these, while on duty.
1. All employees are expected to:
wear clean uniform, tight fitting clothes,
and keep personal hygiene
. Do not wear synthetic clothing,
windcheater, these create static charge and may result in fire.
Wear shoes to protect their feet, do not wear shoes with nails or metallic atta
chment to avoid generation of
sparks during movement.
safety helmets in the specified areas
safety goggles when charging/discharging/siphoning chemicals or opening lines o
f compressed gases.
Appropriate masks should be used when working in any such area where the dust/m
ist/ vapors/ gases of
the chemicals are present in higher concentration.
Acid and alkali proof apron and face shield must be worn while handli
ng corrosive chemicals like acids &
alkalis.
2. Many of our material are hazardous. Do not spill /spoil or waste

them. Please refer Material Safety Data

Sheets (MSDSs) or contact area Incharge for their hazards & safety requirement b
efore their use.
3. All persons who work on heights (where there is a potential of fall), should
use Safety Belt to arrest fall.
4. For every job requiring entry to a confined area the same shall be done only
after getting proper CONFINED
SPACE ENTRY PERMIT. For jobs requiring to work on height, where perma
nent platforms is not available
WORKING ON HEIGHT PERMIT must be taken.
5. All maintenance jobs shall be done only after getting WORK REQUISITION FORM A
ll jobs in flammable area,
which require use of flames / sparks or generating spark / excessive heat, shoul
d be done only after getting a
proper HOT WORKS PERMIT. Use of earthing (grounding) is must during h
andling flammable/combustible
solvents.
6. Do not block Safety Showers, Fire Fighting Appliance, Escape door o
r Passageways. They may create
obstructions when required for use.
7. Report accidents / incidents / any abnormal condition / sound / vibration / s
pillage in your area immediately to
your supervisor/ section incharge.
8. Do not enter any other area without the instruction / permission of your sect
ion incharge.
9. Assemble at designated Assembly Point during emergency.
