Cheetahs

Appearance
A cheetah is covered with yellow fur with

black spots and white fur on its belly. It has


short course fur coat.
It usually has 4-6 rings on its tail.

HABITAT
Lives in Europe, Africa and small parts of Asia.
In Africa a cheetah sits on a rock in the African

plains.
The cheetah searches for its prey wisely.
A cheetah lives in open grassland and
savannas.

FOOD
A cheetah eats meat
Cheetahs are carnivores.
Cheetahs hunt their own prey and never take

home any left over's.

HUNTING
Cheetahs use their speed to hunt their prey.
Cheetahs use their camouflage to hide from

their prey.
Cheetahs get very close to their prey before
attacking it.
Cheetahs attack their prey from down wind.

INTERSTING FACTS
Cheetahs can run up to 70 miles per hour.
Cheetahs have almost been extinct before.
Female cheetahs have 8 cubs.
When a cheetah is six months old, it may start

practising for its prey.


Cheetahs are in danger of extinction.
