SUBJECT: LUCASVILLE MAN ARRESTED AFTER CRIME SPREE
Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini stated that his office received several calls from residence in the Lucasville area on April 9th 2016 stating that somebody had broken into their vehicles and stole items. Sheriff Donini stated that Deputy Springs and Deputy Jackson responded to eight locations around the Lucasville area which resulted in reports being filed for theft from vehicles. Sheriff Marty V. Donini stated that Deputy Springs and Jackson started an investigation that consisted of talking to witnesses and reviewing video surveillance. Deputies were able to locate the suspect and interview him that resulted in recovering stolen property. Arrested was Justin Holcomb age 28 of Lucasville, Holcomb has been charged with six counts of theft a misdemeanor of the 1st degree and one count of theft a felony of the 5th degree. Holcomb appeared in Portsmouth Municipal Court and is being held on a $25,000 bond. Sheriff Donini stated that this is an ongoing investigation that will result in more chares being presented to the Scioto County grand jury. Sheriff Donini stated this arrest was the result of the fast action and investigative approach of Deputy Springs and Deputy Jackson.
