Ms. Mosiman,
Great job tonight! Thank you for arranging for the Waukee women to participate with Valley in tonight's concert. It
was excellent! It was such a great opportunity for them to perform with other groups and it was fun to hear them sing
ove vocal music and one of my favorite things to do is to watch my children participate in their activities.
| think you are doing a fabulous job in the vocal music department at Waukee High School. Thank you for being a
friend to : she really enjoys being with you
Thank you again for all you are doing! You have an ally in me.

‘There is just not enough that can be said of your production of Les Miserables.
| was privileged to attend the Saturday matinee performance with two of our Norwalk students.
All elements of the production were far above “outstanding”. There was not one - not one - person on that stage, in
the wings, in the pit, in the booths, or on the creative team that was not 150% dedicated to your show. The talent was
amazing.
‘The Civic Center folks will have a very difficult time deciding which scene or which performer to honor,
Way above Well done!

good friend of mine just moved to Waukee with her family. | thought you might like to see what she posted today on
Facebook:
Last night, we had the pleasure of attending the opening night performance of Waukee High Schoo!'s production of
Les Miserables. To be honest, given the tremendous breadth of talent necessary to pull off this show and the sheer
size and scope of Victor Hugo's story, with its complex themes and characters, broad timeline, and number of
intertwining storylines, | had my doubts about ANY high school producing this show. Alll | can say, after watching,
though, is WOW!!! What an incredible performance by the entire cast, crew, and pit orchestral To say we are excited
about raising our kids in a system that produces this kind of talent is a gigantic understatement. One after another, a
parade of incredibly talented young men and women took the stage and absolutely “owned” their characters. Jean
ValJean performed my favorite selection of the show ("Bring Him Home") with a depth of sensitivity and an awareness
of his own voice that | don't think I've ever witnessed in a high school student before. Javert was similarly convincing;
Marius brought a youthful brilliance and incredible voice to his role as well. The innkeeper and his wife were hilarious,
and, of course, Fantine, Cosette, and Eponine delivered strikingly beautiful renderings of these three complex
women’s roles as well. Bravo, Waukee High School! And if you haven't seen this production (and you can still score
a ticket!), don't miss it!

Ladies,
‘As | am sure mine is just one of a thousand e-mails you're getting today, | wanted you to know that your students’
performance left me speechless. My mom wept in the chair beside me for the entire performance... Absolutely
incredible.
“Thank you for recognizing this talent and giving these students (and Waukee) this amazing opportunity— watch out,

‘Good morning ~
Iwas reminded last night that we have amazing kids! If you haven't made seeing this years musical part of your
weekend plans, please reconsider. Seeing our students perform Les Miserables last night was an incredible way to
‘end my week. | would put this production ahead of some professional shows | have seen. There are still tickets
available for the Saturday matinee, along with some tickets being held back for administration at the other
performances.
Have a great weekend!

| just wanted to tell you how beautifully you conduct. You're very lyrical and don't distract from the music. | love how
you can use very subtle movements and get such beautiful sounds. | have really enjoyed all the music this year.
They sounded wonderful tonight.
