OWI – 7th Offense

Madison, WI. May 3, 2010 – At approximately 6:30 pm on Sunday, May 2nd, a Dane County
Sheriff’s Deputy arrested Robert L. Johnson, age 40 of New Glarus, for Operating While
Intoxicated (OWI), 7th Offense.

The deputy came into contact with Johnson when it was reported that a 1998 Nissan Maxima
crashed on State Highway 78 and Doken Road in the town of Perry. Johnson had been traveling
southbound on STH 78 when he lost control on a curve. He was wearing a seatbelt and was not
injured in the crash.

After being taken to a local hospital, he was booked into the Dane County Jail. In addition to the
felony OWI, Johnson will be cited for Operating After Revocation, Failure to Maintain Control, and
Open Intoxicants.
