Back to School Newsletter

Welcome to Miss Plaschkas 2nd grade class!

I hope that you are as excited for this new school year as I am! First and
foremost, I want to inform you about some expectations, opportunities, involvement,
and standards that will be present in your students class.

Class Expectations:
1. Learning is our top priority. However, I expect that there will also be very
many fun times!
2. All students must be kind and respectful to themselves and each other.
3. Come to class ready to listen, but also be prepared to participate!
4. Always work hard and do your best.
5. Remember: I know that you are amazing. Lets show that to everyone else!

Tools and Technology:

Though the traditional school supplies like pencils and paper are very
important, technology plays a major role in a successful education for todays world.
In our class room, we will have opportunities to use a variety of tools including (but
not limited to) SmartBoards, laptops, tablets, and interactive learning games.

Parental Involvement:
Throughout the school year, we will be taking a few field trips. We will need
parents to volunteer as chaperones. There will also be days where we will ask for
parent helpers in the classroom. If you are interested in being involved in any of
these ways, please let me know!
