Answer question no one and any two from Part B and one question from
Part C

PART- A
1 a The details of a residential building are shown in the accompanying
fig.1. work out the quantities and cost of the following items of work by
centre line method:
a. Earthwork estimation for foundation in ordinary soil at Rs
100/m3.
b. Cement concrete (CC) bed (1:4:8) for foundation at Rs 1450/m3.
c. Coursed rubble stone masonry in CM(1:6) for foundation and
basement at Rs 1350/m3.

A highway alignment of formation width 10m and side slope 2H: 1V is


to be made. Estimate the quantity of earthwork using mean sectional
area method. The formation level at zero chainage is 105 and a up
gradient of 1 in 50 is to be provided. Also estimate the total cost of the
earthwork at Rs 60/m3. Following are reduced levels of ground at
different chainages:
