Answer all Questions

1. A gear of a clock of 1cm diameter has to be represented by a similar shape of diameter 3cm
on the drawing. Find the length of a lever of the clock on the drawing, if its actual length is
3.8 cm.
Draw a diagonal scale to measure upto 0.01cm and long enough to measure upto 5cm.Also
mark 3.86 cms on this scale.
2. An area of 144 sq. cm on a map represents an area of 36sq.km on the field. Find the RF of
the scale for this map. Draw a backward vernier scale to show kilometres, hectometres and
decametres and measure up to 10km.Indicate on the scale distances of 7.77km, 5.59km and
1.03km.
3. Length of 600m is represented by a line of 30cm on a drawing.Draw a direct vernier scale to
read up to 400m.Draw the scale for least count of 50cm.Mark on the scale the lengths of
205.5m and 166.5m.
4. The plan and elevation of line PQ 60mm long, measures 54mm and 45 mm respectively.End
P is 15mm above HP and 10mm infront of VP.Draw its projection and determine its true
inclination to the reference plane.
5. Draw the projections of AB 100mm long inclined at 30to HP and 45 to VP.The end A of the
line 50mm above HP and 25mm infront of VP.Determine the apparent view lengths and their
inclination.Mark its traces.
