In English 1 honors I wrote a essay about the influences on the

main character Scout from To Kill a Mockingbird. This multi paper

essay had me use the accessing and analysing skills. The skill of
accessing and analysing is the ability to find and understand the
meaning in texts and other things. This essay made me use my
skills because I had to reread certain parts of the book again and
had to interpret the text in a way that it supported my topic
effectively. But to improve my 21 first century skill of accessing
and analysing I could of before hand annotated the text more
before hand so I can more easily and efficiently analyzed the
text. This would have enabled me to find better support for my
topic resulting in a better essay and improved my accessing and
analyzing skill.
