{CALENDAR}

Were well into our Mystery Unit now,

starting to read book club books
tomorrow. We are making great
connections to our Writing with these
books because many refer to fairy tale
characters! Students have also been
analyzing parts of speech within texts.

Your child has started writing a Fairy

Tale Adaptation. We have learned that
good writers should master a classic
tale, think of a meaningful change, and
continue domino effect changes
throughout their piece. There are
some creative stories starting to form!

We have started our final Math Unit:

Write Equations to Solve Word
Problems. (Dont you wish you were
back in 3rd Grade?) We saved this Unit
for the end as it reviews many skills we
have learned as well as challenging us
with a few tricky components. *See

Its Day 3 of our Chicken Embryo

Development. We are so excited to
learn about our little chicks and to see
them when they hatch! After they
hatch we will return to the Force and
Motion Unit we put on hold We are
hoping to get a few more good
experiments in before its summer!

Continue practicing Math Facts, Reading regularly, and reviewing Spelling

words. Words Their Way will continue next week!
Math Prodigy! " a super fun website that allows students to gain Math
skills, but feel like theyre just playing a game! *Please encourage your
student to spend some time on this if they are having screen time.* It
automatically sends me data on how theyre doing with specific skills!

Its crazy to think that the end of the school year is so near!!! Despite summer around the corner and this
beautiful weather weve been seeing, please continue to send jackets to school with your child (or maybe
even keep an extra in their locker!) With the wind and fluctuating temps its tough to keep the just right
feel without layers within reach.
Please continue to send out dates you would like to celebrate birthdays if your child has a birthday that
isnt during the school year. Well still celebrate here if youd like to!
