SHOW WHAT YOU KNOW!

Each student chose to report on a subject. Here are a few things that we learned
this week.

Math: We are learning about place value.

Danny said, We put the tens and then the ones. We do dream box every day.
Nellie said, 14+ 3= 17. 17 is 1 ten and 7 ones
Ailani said, In the number 50, the 5 means 5tens.
Christopher said, we are learning combinations like 1+9=10.
Alondra said, place value means tens and ones.

Reading: We are reviewing our reading strategies

Edgar said, we read sight words.
Carlos said, we read letter sounds like th, ch, and ir.
Silas said, we are reading books to learn how to read better.
Nicia said, we learned about character traits when Bonk felt sad when he only had
a little bit of money.
Maria said, we read non-fiction books so we can learn about real things.
Jeremy said, We read fiction book. Fake

Writing: We have started persuasive writing. We must tell who we are writing to
and what we are writing about. We must tell at least 3 reasons why we have that
opinion.
Arturo said, we are writing a letter to Mrs. Little. We want to persuade her to
give us more play time.

Social Studies: We are the difference between needs and wants.

Vanessa said, we need food.
Nehemiah said, we need houses.
Nayeli said, we need shoes and clothes.
Michelle said, you want a coloring book. We do not have to have it to live.
Andrea said, we need water.
