I have known Esmeralda for six months in the ‘capacity as her United States Government and Economics instructor at Merced High School. In the time I have known her I have been impressed not onty by her academic performance in my class, but even more by her personal character. Academically, Esmeralda has maintained a 3.8 GPA while at Merced High. Her work ethic is second to none, always staying on task and serious about her studies. She is outgoing, responsible, punctual, optimistic, and friendly which has led to her success. She also has excellent communication, management and organizational skills. This year, Esmeralda has served as a Mentor on campus to other students and has been a member of Link Crew. She has also been very active in various clubs which include the Soccer Club, Club APS (Association of Pre- ‘Med Students), and Kiwins.
