Positive Behavior Instructional Supports Tiers of Intervention

Tier 3 Administrative Supports


Violence, robbery/extortion, pyrotechnic devices, fighting, alcohol, drugs, arson,
assault, criminal act, hazing, weapon, terrorist threats, gang activity, bullying.

Tier 2 Administrative & Family Supports


1. Tier 1 behavior continues. Teacher communicates to parent/guardian of student to discuss
student behavior and create plan to promote positive behavior in classroom.
2. Teacher consults with Administration to discuss new plan to promote positive behavior.
3. Teacher and Administration meet with student to review plan and discuss expectations and
incentives for positive behavior.

Tier 1 Teacher & Classroom Interventions


Student completes fix it plan, teacher reviews plan and discusses what to do differently?
Low level defiance, disruption (talking out of turn, passing notes, blurting out) cheating or plagiarism
off task , low level bullying/ other harassment, unprepared (no materials), electronics, low level
aggression, physical no bodily harm (play fighting) sleeping , swearing, tardiness.
