The students seem a little

seems like a roadblock to our

Lesson Topic: Finishing Kindness Dances

Activity: Groups working on dances
Materials:
Assessment:

I hit a little issue with this

lesson. The students didnt seem
to understand how a poem could
influence a dance. We talked
about how a dance could be
influenced by music, which
made sense. But then when we
introduced the idea of a poem
influencing a dance the class
seemed confused. Maybe the art
projects will help pull this
together.
The groups worked well
together today. At first they were
confused how to make 7
different projects into 1.
However, once I showed them
an example they seemed to
delve right into it. The projects
that students created amazed
me. And I could see a different
type of energy in their dancing
that seemed to be influenced by
their melding of art.
Today was a total student-led
workshop day. The groups
worked efficiently and
effectively. I went around and
gave feedback, and it seemed
like the groups really digested
what I had to say and tried to
incorporate it in their pieces.

02/12--Friday

Lesson Topic: Putting Dances together

Activity: Performances, taking dances
together.
Materials:
Assessment:

Today each group showed me

their pieces so I could put 5
different dances together into
one. Even though the class went
well, I wish my students were
willing to take more of a
creative role and offer more
verbal feedback. I need to find a
way to make them more
comfortable talking with me.
