CENA SA held a Triage Update Day on November 8, 2014 in Mount Gambier, South Australia with 18 attendees from the local area. Sessions covered topics like drug and alcohol, disaster management, trauma, mental health, respiratory, paediatrics, pregnancy, and minor injuries. Presentations were delivered as if patients were presenting to the triage nurse. There was also a team-based triage competition between groups of 3 and 4. Attendees provided positive feedback that the sessions were interactive, allowed for discussion, and were well presented as well as being a good networking opportunity.

This event was held on 8th November 2014 in Mount Gambier, South Australia. We had 18 attendees, most from the local area. On arrival they all received a CENA SA goody bag. All sessions were delivered as if a patient had just presented to the Triage Nurse. Some sessions were via teleconference and others face to face. The topics included; Drug & Alcohol Disaster management Trauma Mental Health Respiratory Paediatric Pregnancy related Eyes Mount Gambiers Blue Lake Minor injuries We also had a team-based competition throughout the day. This was a Triage 3 v 4 game. It facilitated networking and highlighted emergency nurses great problem solving skills!!
