LOW PRESSURE PROBLEM AT CMS of M/S

KOHINOOR TEXTILE MILLS RAWALPINDI (CAPTIVE UNIT)
Kindly refer to your instructions to address the subject problem. In this
context, our engineer alongwith M/s Kohinoor technical team carried out a detailed
analysis which details are belo w.
Captive power generation (Consumer No. 0248703000) having contractual
load of 4 MMCFD exists at do wnstream of SMS Ranail. Distance of CMS from SMS
Ranial is 23 Km. The consumer has been complaining low pressure of gas at its
premises due to its existence at the tail end of our gas supply main and due to
pressure profiling at SMS Ranial. The consumer desired to operate all of its
generators which is only possible if pressure at its CMS is atleast 40psig as per
our analysis which can only be achieved if we operate SMS Ranial at 60 psig.
Under these circumstances, we cannot afford to operate the SMS at such
high pressures while keeping in vie w the aspect of UFG.
