Job Shadowing

On December 9th I was with Ms. Wagoner job shadowing. I was there to
help unload and sort FFA fruit but also sit in on Wagoners classes that she
taught. The job of an Ag teacher is about the same as any other teacher the
difference is it can get interesting with some of the students when it comes
to teaching hands on like the Ag teachers do. The experience and schooling
required are about the same as that of an academic teacher.
The experience required is unique but normal. Experience needed is to
have student taught before date of application. Schooling is minimally a
bachelor degree but preferred is a master degree in the agriculture field. Is
there an online application? You may submit your resume online then its
easier to just come in and talk to the boss which is Chad Daugherty. Chad is
a real nice guy hell explain things that need explaining no further questions
asked.
To become an outstanding candidate for Agriculture teacher would be
to have a master degree and on the job experience in the Ag department
and also have good news from previous locations that I have worked. This
career is not one that I would like to pursue due to the fact its a teaching

occupation and I would not have the patients to learn what I would need to in
order to teach what needs to be taught.
