Why France Will Be Crowned the Euro 2016 Soccer Champions..

In a decade that has been dominated by the Spanish and German national teams, there seems
to be a power-shift leading into the 2016 European
Championships. Spains sweep of the 2010 FIFA World Cup
and both the 2008 and 2012 European Championships;
staked a claim that enforced that they were by far the most
prolific squad of the last 10 years. Similarly, German claimed
the last World Cup title whilst always being amongst the
favorites for every international competition. This more recent
success only emphasizes the glittering history of the central
european giants which consists of 4 World Cup titles, 3
European Championship titles and a current #1 FIFA world
ranking.
However, as these almost flawless squads seem to be aging; the door is being opened for a
new collection of young superstars. The French National Team, also known as Les Bleus
(The Blues), are currently led by Didier Deschamps who is infusing an exciting and proficient
group of renowned French stars. Some may argue that
France already have an advantage over their rival
countries due to being the hosts of the tournament, but
there is distinct clarity in the many other reasons as to why
they are the hot-favorites to take the crown away from the
reigning Spaniards.
Leading into the Euros, Frances squad seems to be
oozing with form, class, and youthful hunger; which is
being gelled by the creativity of Deschamps. The English
Premier League has served as an ideal environment for
some of Frances brightest prospects such as Anthony Martial, NGolo Kante & Dimitri Payet.
These 3 individuals, who were previously overlooked by the national team, have accumulated
many extraordinary performances this season. This form is now placing them in starting XI
contention places for Les Bleus.
Despite there being a great deal of excitement surrounding these Premier League competitors,
the European spotlight is most definitely resonating around the Juventus talisman, Paul Pogba.
After failing to take-off at former club Manchester United, Pogba settled in Turin, Italy; and began
journey to stardom in the famous black and white of Juventus. Arguably the closest player to the
French legends, Zidane and Vieira, there is no surprise that all eyes are on the French magician
as he looks to claim his first international title. His majestic progression to become one of

Europes great talents is representative of the the gifted

youth of the French that illuminates their bright future.
Rafael Varane, Lucas Digne, Kingsley Coman and (as
previous mentioned) Anthony Martial represent the
future of French football. Their hunger to make an
early impact on the international stage could well be a
key component to the French success; coupled with the
undeniable talent that these men (or boys) posses. With
these youngsters having already cemented their dominance at a club level, the next step is
surely to jump at the opportunity to showcase their talent at the Euros.
Taking these factors into consideration, there is no doubt that Didier Deschamps and his men
will be certain contenders for the title. The concoction of youth,
class, hunger and the roaring support of the French faithful
could well be a recipe to ensure that, come the
completion of the tournament, the streets will
be painted with waves of the blue, white and
red.
