Science

As a soon to be teacher, I will teach Science to the students by discussing different events
that occur in todays society. Some examples I would use include the solar system and plant life
which students are able to easily learn. My job is to help students learn these aspects of science.
The best way to teach science is to first introduce science and its categories. An effective
teaching strategy is to have students involved in activities such as experiments or create projects
that will allow the students to observe and analyze scientific methods.
I will teach science to my class by having students use basic experiments. Some
experiments that I can use to teach the class are how plants grow, or what causes electricity.
During the lesson I will ask the class to analyze their experiments. This will get students
involved into their experiment much more, and give them the ability to make hypotheses, solve
scientific problems, and to formulate opinions and conclusions. Not only are experiments
important to teaching students, but projects are too.
Having students make science projects is another way to get students excited about
participating in a science lesson. One project I can teach to my students is how an airplane lifts
off from the ground with wings traveling through the air. Another project I can teach my
students is how lava flows from volcanoes and how they erupt due to pressure. Having my
students create projects will give them opportunity to explain and present what their project
demonstrates to the entire class.
As shown above, I will begin teaching science to my students by giving them basic
science experiments, which help the students make hypotheses, opinions and conclusions about

different scientific matters. Also, having students to present different types of projects to the
class can be a learning experience for them.
