Subject: Request WHO support for the documention of nursing act
development in Indonesia
Dear Dr. Jihane
In order to ensure the safe practice of nursing in Indonesia, there was an
initiate act by the Indonesian nurses association, and the nursing
directorate, ministry of health, the house of representative and all nurses
through the country to form the regulation for more than 10 years. This
act was success with a very long process and several obstacles. Moreover,
the Indonesian nursing act has been established on September 2014 and
need for further acceptance for the implementation.
The experience of the successful effort and work should be documented,,
which furthermore can be shared with other profession or other countries
as best practice in partnership between Indonesian nurses association,
ministry of health and all element of nursing in the country.
We would like to request your support to produce the document the
process and experience of nursing act development in Indonesia regarding
to the process of forming the Indonesian nursing act and other nursing
regulation, The outcomes of this activity are documents or final draft for
publication and report for SEARO. Thank you very much for your kind
attention and cooperation.
