This personal narrative discusses the speaker's travels around the United States and the world. They have visited many places, from different states to other countries, experiencing new cultures, histories, and natural landscapes. These adventures have provided new perspectives and memories. While in different cities temporarily, each place became part of who they are. Now, with their past adventures always with them, the speaker is ready to brave new ones, having been brought to where they are and want to be through wonderful experiences that have increased their appreciation of the world.

I've traveled near and far. From Georgia to Florida,
from Utah to Arizona. 2. Every city a new adventure, every country a new stamp. Oh the places I've been! 3. I've experienced culture, history, and nature all to gain a new perspective. 4. I've snorkeled in the Caribbean, watched the sunrise from the top of a volcano, and walked through Indian Reservstions giving truth to the worst moments of our history. 5. From waterfalls to volcanos. From city streets to country roads. 6. I've lived in many cities that never knew my name, but each became a part of me as a temporary home. 7. My adventures gave me comfort: to explore, to learn, to grow. 8. My old adventures will always be with me as I brave new ones. 9. Each a different dot on a map, a different memory and lesson. 10. New perspectives, greater appreciations, wonderful adventures: all have gotten me to where I am and where I want to be. In terms of Mentor Texts, Im thinking of using Oh the Places Youll Go! by Dr. Seuss, or Love You Forever by Robert Munsch. The second one is more for the writing style of repetition of lines and explanation based on a specific time.
