Classroom Philosophy
We

believe that what goes on the

classroom is our responsibility, and, by
working with students, all of us can
create an ideal environment for
education, safety, understanding, and
even fun. By keeping things positive, we
believe that students will end up
learning more and getting more out of
each and every lesson.

Scenario/ Issue
Miss Siva was conducting year 5 cekal during
her first phase of practicum. That class was
consist of intermediate to advance level
pupils. During the interaction there were
groups of pupils who were talkative when the
teacher was conducting the lesson. They did
not pay attention to the lesson and also
disturbing other pupils in the classroom.
This makes Miss. Siva could not proceed her
lesson effectively.

Classroom Management Plan

Routines

and procedures
Routines- what the pupils do
automatically without any supervision
Procedures- how you want things to be
done

Determine

and demonstrate your

expectation (rules)
For an example, respect can be demonstrated
through showing up on time, not interrupting
others and paying attention.
Explain the consequences
(reinforcement/punishment)
the idea of psychologist B.F Skinner His theory
revolves around the idea of reinforcement for
behavior that you would like to be repeated and
punishment for negative or unwanted behavior

Establishing Consequences
(+) (-)
Exposing

the pupils of consequences of

positive and negative behaviour.

E.g.

Teacher should explain the result of

being talkative while teacher teaches in

the classroom to the disruptive pupils.
