Best Piece Student Reflection
The piece I chose for my Best Piece is an essay that I feel showcases many skills
acquired in High School. It demonstrates an ability to not only think critically and come up with
original, insightful ideas, but also to express those ideas. This essay took many hours to
complete, I had a very high standard for the finished product. It shows many skills such as
expansive vocabulary, creative sentence structure, and a high level of critical thinking. It also
shows what qualities I value not only in a president, but also in a moral and upstanding person.
In this way, it reveals a lot about my identity and the things that are important to me. I am very
proud of this piece not only because I feel it shows my abilities as a student and writer, but also
because it shows how High School has taught me to think critically and express my original
ideas well.
