In this letter of recommendation, Jayne Wenner recommends Megan Manley for a teaching position. Wenner observed Manley teach elementary general music methods and saw that she created well-planned, sequential lessons and engaged students through a variety of activities. Manley understands that students learn differently and can make adjustments to lessons. Students enjoyed Manley's teaching because of her love of music, energy, and calm manner. Wenner concludes that Manley is responsible, professional, and a great role model who is already a good teacher.

To Whom It May Concern:
I am very pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Megan Manley. Megan was a student in my class for two semesters -- Elementary General Music Methods I and II. I have known her since January 2014. During both semesters, the students did some practice teaching in the public schools. I observed Megans teaching at Thomas Elementary School in Dublin and at Barrington Elementary in Upper Arlington. Megan created well-planned sequential lessons. Her teaching manner is kind, fair, caring, and professional. She plans transitions from one activity to the next so the students remain engaged for the whole time. She understands that children learn in different ways, so she plans a variety of activities that include singing, playing instruments, listening, and moving, so that all children can learn. She is able to make adjustments to the lessons when necessary to simplify the activity if the children need more time to understand the concept. The students enjoy learning from Megan. I think it is because they can sense her love of music and working with children. This is evident in her energy and enthusiasm in class. She has a positive outlook and a calm manner that create an atmosphere where children are comfortable making music and trying new things. The students in her classes were very respectful to her and to each other. Megan is aware of how the students are doing during class and provides feedback to guide their learning and progress. Megan is responsible and professional, and is a great role model for students of all ages. She is a good person and a fine teacher already. I highly recommend her for a position in your district. I hope you will consider hiring her. Please feel free to call me with any questions. Sincerely, Jayne Wenner
