talking on this. At the inception the concept of reservation was with a noble cause i.e. to
economically and socially uplift the backward classes. But today it has merely become a tool
for the politicians to cater their needs of vote bank. This so called good thing is doing well
neither to the country nor to the citizens of the country. It has only created problems for the
country leading to riots and strikes causing losses of crores of rupees to the government and
no need to mention the mental harassment caused to the masses. (Recent incident need not
mention) It is not only about the losses but due to this menace of reservation the future of
many deserving students go in vain. As per careers 360 this was the cut-off of JEE Main
exams in 2015.

As it is seen the cut-off for different castes are different due to which many deserving
students are not able to get admissions in one of the top-most institutions of India. Thus
reservation is definitely a bane for India which should be banned from the country. To uplift
the socio-economic status of the backward people instead of giving reservation which in fact
is pulling them backwards we should consider them equal and provide them same
opportunities to develop.
