Project Report - DRAFT

Intervention:
Goal: By April 8, 2016, given direct instruction, related activities,
modeling from staff, A.T. will not rush her classwork given 2
visual/verbal prompts in 7/10 trials.
Objective 1: Given direct instruction, related activities, modeling
from staff, A.T. will ask the teacher to check her work in 7/10
opportunities with 4 visual/verbal reminders.
Objective 2: Given direct instruction, related activities, modeling
from staff, A.T. will check her work on her own in 7/10
opportunities with 3 visual/verbal reminders.
Summary:

Elizabeth Fauser

This intervention was implemented after three days of taking

baseline data. Throughout taking baseline data, the student showed
they needed to be in close proximity to the teacher, and both visual
and verbal reminders to check her work. The intervention was then
implemented for 10 weeks and data was taken twice a week.
After 7 weeks, the student consistently met her goal with at least
70 percent accuracy. By this point the student needed two or less
visual/verbal reminders to check her work for mistakes made when
rushing. This student did achieve her goal.
As per usual with children, some days are better than others.
There is one day in particular that stands out with a low data point, on
February 25th. The student was very upset during our Reading class, as
she had just received a behavior check prior to coming into class.
Therefore she did not have her usual motivation to complete her
assignments and do them well.
Following the data collection, Mrs. Fales and I concluded that the
student will independently, with one reminder, check her work prior to
turning it in.
