The teacher understands how learners grow and develop, recognizing that patterns of learning and development vary individually within and across the cognitive, linguistic, social, emotional, and physical areas, and designs and implements developmentally appropriate and challenging learning experiences. Name of Artifact: Girls and Boys Date: December 8, 2014 Course: EDUC 101 Brief Description: InTASC Standard 1 is one of the more basic but one of the most important InTASC standards. Every person is different and learns in many different ways. Once someone realizes this, it will be easier to teach people as someone can then adapt the way that they teach to the different learning styles of different individuals. Rationale: This research paper goes over how boys and girls are different in development and in many other ways, knowing that two different genders are not the same is something that many people know, but it is not until someone knows this and can change their teaching style to follow InTASC 1. It is then that someone can be an effective teacher and help lessons apply to more differences than just gender.
