PLAYER OF THE WEEK: C Mike Zunino was named the Pacific Coast League Player of the Week for April 7-17. Zunino hit safely in each of
his first 8 games of the season, batting .441 (15x34) with 9 runs scored, 3 doubles, 4 home runs, 11 RBI and 1 walk. He also hit home runs in
4 consecutive games from April 13-17, marking the first time in his career he has accomplished that feat. Through the teams first 10 games
(4/7-17), Zuninos .441 batting average ranked as the 2nd-best in the PCL. He also ranked among the league leaders in slugging percentage
(1st, .882), extra base hits (T1st, 7), home runs (T1st, 4), total bases (2nd, 30), and hits (T3rd, 15). Zunino is the first Rainiers player to earn a
PCL weekly honor since right-hander Chien-Ming Wang was named PCL Pitcher of the Week for Aug. 10-16, 2015. He is also the first Tacoma
position player to earn a weekly award since Nick Franklin was selected PCL Player of the Week for April 22-28, 2013.
