Recreation is a huge part of Utah. In fact The University

of Utah is one of the top in the state as well as in the
country for its recreation degrees.

available to University
of Utah students.

LOTS OF OPTIONS
Some activities available
but not limited to:
Kayaking
Hiking
Mountain/Rock Climbing
Canyoneering/Repelling
Camping

EDUCATION
As far as education goes, The University of Utah has a great
Parks, Recreation and Tourism program. You are going to
make great friends and learn new skills that will be useful in
school as well as when you graduate.

There are plenty of jobs to explore in
this major. So many great options.

Outward Bound or other expedition programs
Guide services
Residential and/or expedition-based therapeutic
wilderness programs or camps

Ropes courses and other challenge and adventure

SUMMARY
There are lot of cool things to
do with Parks, Recreation and
Tourism degrees and your
emphasis should be in what
ever interests you most. An
A.O.P. emphasis will give you
lots of adventure and good
time. If that is what you are

program for you!
