have been working in a private school, and those new to teaching but havent yet finished all of their education courses or passed the Praxis II exam. Teachers with a

condi+onal cer+ca+on from the state of Maine have specic requirements from the Maine Department of Educa+on, such as taking educa+on courses of passing the Praxis II exam.

They do not need a cer+ed mentor teacher, and do not need to complete prior approval forms or accumulate hours in Protraxx. AYer their specic requirements are met, the teacher is

moved to a provisional cer+ca+on.
