    ROLES OF MANAGERS
     H.Mintzberg made a study on 5 executives in an
    organization, based on his study, he concluded that
    there were 10 different roles that were interrelated or
    had a coordinated set of behavior related to the job.
     The ten managerial roles are grouped under;
    Interpersonal role
    Informational role
    Decisional role.
    INTERPERSONAL ROLE

    Figurehead A symbolic leader who


    performs social and legal duties

    Leader Control and motivate Employees,


    also Hire and train Employees

    Liaison Maintains Contact within or


    outside the organization for
    information and favors
    INFORMATIONAL ROLES
    Monitor Seeks and receives information to find
    the opportunities and threats to the
    working of an organization
    Disseminator Transmission of Information obtained to
    the appropriate members of the
    organization
    Spokesperson Transmission of information regarding
    the organizations plans , progress and
    result to outsiders
    DECISIONAL ROLES
    Entrepreneur Role Planning or modifying strategies
    and techniques from the
    information collected
    Disturbance Handler Takes action against the unexpected
    pressure and problems
    Resource Allocator Taking decisions to allocate
    resources for efficient operation in
    an Organization
    Negotiator Representing the organization
    externally or internally to negotiate
    for the needs and demands .
