Geologic evidence of evolution

Earth is about 4.5 billion years old. Organisms have inhabited earth for most its history.
Whales are thought to have evolved from an ancestral mammals, their fossils show what
scientists think they look like. Other forms of evidence such as, comparisons of DNA
became available only in the 20th and 21st centuries. The evidence of evolution comes
from biological sciences and both historical and modern research. For 20 years Darwin
gathered evidence that supported his idea before making it public and bringing it out to
the world. 230 million years of skeleton rocks show dinosaurs evolving from a lineage
of reptiles. In 2004, a team of researchers made a incredible discovery. They found a
four foot long fossil between those of a fish and four-legged animal.
