Service Learning Action Projects

SLAP Project
Who: You and, if you wish, multiple group partners. These groups
must be approved by the instructor. If you choose to work with
students from other classes, you will be graded by the teacher of
this course in the class in which you present your project.

SLAP Project
What:
You will prepare a two-page paper. This paper should include
information about the problem that you have identified.
A project that helps to solve a problem that you have identified
in our state, local or school community.
After completion of this project, you will present your results to
our class in the form of a PowerPoint presentation.

SLAP Project
When:
We will work on the paper today and tomorrow. It is due
Monday March 23rd at 8:25.
You will need to complete a proposal including your project
plan and who you plan to work with before April Vacation.
Your community service project must be complete by June 1st.
Presentations will be completed in June.

Where: In the state, local, or school community.

How:
-Pick an Idea
-Research and Write
-Create Proposal
-Set-up Community Service
-Complete Community Service [Take Pictures]
-Create and give your presentation.

Why: SLAP is a requirement for successful completion of this
course.
