Public assistance needed in locating elderly female

May 6, 2010 (MINNEAPOLIS) This afternoon the Minneapolis Police Department is

asking for the public’s help in locating a 71 year old female who suffers from
dementia who walked away from her south Minneapolis home this afternoon around
1:30.

Police in the city’s Fifth Precinct are presently searching the area radiating out from
46th and Lyndale Avenue South where the woman lives. The woman, Beverly Gold, is
described as a 71 year old white female, 5’10” with a medium build, blue eyes and
light brown hair. Gold uses glasses and is possibly wearing a blue and green knit
sweater and grey corduroy pants.

Gold is known to frequently walk near her home along the 46th street corridor and in
the Lake Harriet area but officers have not been able to locate her in the area.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Gold is asked to call 911.
