Lesson Plan: Cell Anatomy 4-24-16

Objective: Students will be able to identify and define parts of the cell. They
will learn the differences between animal and plant cells.
Time: 50 minutes
Materials: Computer, coloring pencils, and paper.
Activity Procedure:
1. Go to http://www.cellsalive.com/cells/cell_model.htm and start the
animation. Go through both the animal and plant cell animations and
write down the functions of each organelle within the cell.
2. Take coloring pencils and paper and draw your own version of a animal
and plant cell with all the organelles, labeling each part.
3. Make a Venn diagram, comparing and contrasting the plant and animal
cells.
