    Analysis Methodology

    A 3D CAD model will be created based on the drawings submitted, using the pre-processor of ANSYS 14. All shell
    structures will be modelled using SHELL elements. For modelling longitudinal and transverse stiffeners, etc. 3D
    BEAM element will be used. Any pipe will be modelled using PIPE element. Effect of any non-structural items will
    be considered as lumped mass. A combination of fine quadratic and triangular finite element mesh of the model will
    be generated using free meshing controls. The structural elements will be modelled including actual mass
    distribution of different items. Different loading conditions will be simulated as prescribed. Finally the deflections,
    stresses and reaction forces will be provided at the desired locations.
