USE/LOSE

Educate passenger of the following and or check reservation before ending the call:
1) New desired itinerary must be more than the (original fare).
2) Routing changes are not permitted and valid on flights marketed and operated by (xx) airline.
3) A separate charge of $100 (SU fee ) and airline date change fee of xx.xx will be charged at time of booking plus fare difference.
4) Travel must be completed no later than (300 days from issuance date)

Use/Lose Procedure
1. Check RD if USE/LOSE is applicable. (RD 16,31,5)
2. XIA segments to avoid pax being tagged as NoShow.
3. Add retention line for U/L.
4. Update 7T-U/L CREDIT XXX.XX/SU FEE 100.00/AA XXX.XX/TCBY/22APR/MF
5. QP/416/11 - PUB QP/506/11 -NET
6. Send an email to QM for pax to be sent U/L email.
Important Facts
a) Non-refundable (NOTE: All U/L tkts are should be non-refundable, otherwise, refund is the only option.
But not all non-refundable tkts are uselosable.)
b) Should have Use/Lose clause validity in RD.
ex: Wholly unused tickets are valid for use within 365 days.. valid a year..
c) Should not contain "No Open Returns Permitted" or "No Changes Permitted"
ex: UACATTPAC
d) Ticket amt is the credit amt and is applied it towards a future non-refundable flight booked through StudentUniverse.
This should be checked from *.
e) This is like a delayed date change so nothing is collected from time of U/L processing
but pax is to pay date change fees + possible FD upon actual change.
f) DO NOT offer U/L if rebooking fee is more than the ticket value.
g) Credit amt is not deductable from change penalties if residual amt is present.
h) Validity: travel must be completed on or before 300 days from issue date (most restrictive)
i) Original ticket restrictions or RD still applies.
Same airline, same routing (if RD states otherwise), and are to follow same pricing command in PQ.
j) Call as soon as possible with new dates of travel otherwise total ticket value will be lost.
