Perincian Program

Print enough copies for each

student to have a set of cards. If
you have 30 students, you will need
30 copies.
Hands out copies to the students
and ask them to cut out the letters
into separate cards. They should
put the cards in an envelope for
safe-keeping.
Tell the students to bring their set of
letters to each lesson; or keep the
sets of letters somewhere in the
classroom.
When you want to practice spelling
ask the students to take out their
envelopes with their letter cards.
Ask the pupils How do you spell
______? or Can you spell
______?
Pupils work individually or in pairs
to spell the word student will need
to work in pairs if the word has
double letters.
Tell the students to raise their
hands when they have finished.
Walk around to monitor the
students and help weaker ones.
Encourage students to make the
sounds of the letters, rather than
saying the names of the letters.
When students become familiar
with the sounds the letters make
they will be able to guess the
spelling of new words they hear.
