The target audience for the film would be ages 13+ of both men and women. This broad age range is suitable because the film contains no violence or swearing. The audience would have a niche interest in thriller genres like "Welcome to the Punch" that involve tropes of masked criminals and innocent people on the run. Based on the content so far, the film would receive a 12A classification from the BBFC, but more permissive content could result in a 15 rating or higher.

The audience that we would like to bring to our film
would mainly be the large age groups of 13+ and be directed to both men and women, this is because there is such a high range of men and women that would want to watch this film. The reason I chose 13+ as an age rating is that there isn't really any violence or swearing in the film so catering to a younger audience would be acceptable, I also didn't specify how older the target audience would have to be, this is because the audience can be any age above 13 and still be in part of the target audience.
The target audience would also most likely be niche,
this is because the theme of on the run thriller may not be appealing to a mainstream audience, this means that our audience would have a niche understanding of the sub-genre as a whole. When comparing our film to other similar films ( the films from question 1), I can definitely say that the people who watch films like 'Welcome to the Punch' and other thriller films would watch our film, this is because we used a narrative style that incorporated multiple conventions that our audience really like. Some of these conventions include ' masked criminals' and 'an innocent on the run
From looking at the BBFC website, I can tell that the
classification on our movie so far would be a 12A, this is because we have to focus more on camera shots, editing and mise-en-scene rather than what we can and can't do in our film. I think that if we had more freedom on what we could do in our film then our film classification would most likely be a classification of 15 or higher.
