Who: Introspections Presents the 2016 Senior Dance Thesis Concert
What: The Space Between
When: May 6th at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.; May 7th at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m..
Where: Black Box Theater in the Center for the Arts Building at Elon University
Why: The senior dance majors of Elon University are presenting their senior thesis project.
They have collaborated to create a unique dance concert depicting the relationships we have
developed during their college career.

Elon, NC May 6th-7th, 2016 -- Introspections presents the Elon University Senior Dance Thesis
Concert, The Space Between, at the Black Box Theater in the Center for the Arts, Friday May
6th (6 p.m. and 8 p.m.) and Saturday May 7th (6 p.m. and 8 p.m.).
The Space Between is an hour-long dance concert that depicts how accidental interactions can
quickly grow into complex, personal relationships. A web of fabric hung throughout the space is
representative of both the interconnectedness of the dancers and the obstacles faced
throughout their time together. The use of athletic partnering and gestural movement, paired
with a unique, self-designed set, draws the audience into the internal mechanisms of the mind.
The concert explores the development and growth of each company member from the
beginning of their personal journeys until the present.
Introspections is a non-profit company created by the senior dance majors at Elon University.
Our goal is to work collaboratively to create movement that encompasses our eclectic
performance styles and individual aesthetics.
This concert is free of charge and open to the public. Donations to support the B.F.A. Elon
Dance Programs upcoming 2016-2017 year are welcome at the door. Reservation requests can
be emailed to introspectionselon@gmail.com by providing the date, time, number of tickets, and
a name under which the reservation should be held, as seating is limited.
