GENERAL PLAN OF ACTION

PAHAMPANG Transparency
PAHAMPANG 2016 will be held in the 1st semester only. Considering that the student
body population will lessen, the amount of events will also be reduced and rest assured, the
decision will be duly discussed during the Tournament Board meeting. We do not want
students to have a hard time balancing their academics and extra-curricular events.
Problems during the Pahampang celebration usually arise from the inefficient
dissemination of information and so the PAHAMPANG 2016 Facebook page will contain
infographics of the important reminders and information discussed during every Tournament
Board meetings so that everybody will have access and will understand how things will and
should work. The guidelines will also be posted together with the clarifications to avoid
miscommunication. The goal of Pahampang is to develop sportsmanship and camaraderie.
We will be able to reach this goal if everybody is equipped with all the information they need
for battle.

KULAY ng PILIPINAS
With all the changes that the country will be facing after the election, it is expected that
many issues will arise. Not everybody in the UPV community can express their stand regarding
issues of the country and so by having events or displays of their work expressing these
feelings towards the issues, they will be able to do s o through their art, whether through
drawings or writing songs, poetry, etc
Bilang mga Iskolar ng bayan, tayo dapat ay maging aktibo sa pagtalakay sa mga issues na
kinakaharap ng ating bansa. Huwag nating hayaang ang may mga maykakayahang magsalita
lamang ang maririnig ng ating bansa. Let us also make them hear our side through our own
art. This will be our form of exercising our freedom of expression.

BAYAN NI JUAN
Through collective action, we can have a huge impact to a community in need.

This is a proposed community development project wherein all local councils and
organizations will be encourage to conduct activities in one specific barangay na hindi
masyadong napapansing ng local government tulad ng mga liblib na lugar dito sa Miagao. Mas
magiging epektibo an gating pagtulong sa komunidad kung lahat tayo ay samasama para sila
ay makaangat.
In the second semester, there will be a major fundraising event that will enable us to
provide books, school supplies, or even a livelihood project for the community that we are
helping.

SNEAK PEEK
Series of for a and discussions intended for the upperclassmen regarding what awaits
them after graduating, and what they have to do before doing so. This will be an event inpartnership with the UPV Alumni office and possibly the VCAA and it aims to make sure that
we will be well equipped and ready before we leave the University.

Aside from all these new projects, I would also continue the actions done by our current UPVUSC
Free Insurance
Due to the initiative of the UPV-USC and our local councils, our call for a free insurance
for all UPV students have been taken into consideration by the UCSA. Ngayon po, hindi lang
UPV students ang may free insurance kundi whole UP students. Sa next sem, let us make sure
na hindi na tayo aasa sa wala tulad ng nangyari satin this school year.
Text Blast
For an effective and efficient way of disseminating information, we will partner with
the local councils and obtain the student directory and pass this to the IPO so that everybody
will be registered to the text blast. This can also help the organizations in advertising their
events since the whole UPV student body will be informed.
The collection of the student directory has already been started during my term as the
UPV-USC Secretary general but this time we will put this in better use.
UP Fest!

Kahit wala nang First years, di ipig sabihin na tatahimik na ang UP with the big
celebrations and events. If this years PRIDE WEEK was the best, then lets make it even better
together with the Grill Fest and other events by other organizations. Through partnership
with the media, major events in UP will have enough publicity and this will help encourage
high school students to consider UP as their University.
This country does not only need Iskolars na deserving, but also Iskolars na willing,
willing to express their stand and willing to serve not just the students but also the
community.
