Classroom Activities
and Materials

1. Using their iPads, students will watch a short video

that was created by the teacher.
2. Throughout the video, there are a series of
questions. Students are expected to record their
answers on a piece of paper and return this work to
class the following day.
Math will be implemented in a guided format.
Therefore, each group will have teacher time. During
this time, the teacher will work on reinforcing the
skills taught through the video. At the beginning of
each group, the teacher will have students draw and
identify a point, line, line segment, and ray on their
individual whiteboards. The teacher will use this,
along with observation, as formative assessment. This

will allow the teacher to determine if a group is ready

to move on to the next lesson or would benefit from
more practice with the current skills.

Assessment

When a group has seatwork time, students will be

using their iPad to work on these same skills through
IXL. The teacher receives student reports through this
website which allow the teacher to use the data as a
formative assessment.
Students will add an entry to their Seesaw journal.
Their entry will need to include a drawing of a line,
line segment, ray, and point. Students will also need
to explain, either in text or by recording their voice,
what each of these items are.
