To Whom This May Concern,
I strongly recommend Ms. Simone Charles for any 1st-5th grade teaching position. I
have had the pleasure to be Ms. Charles supervisor during her course work in the
College of Education. During her time at the University of Arizona Ms. Charles
completed her methods courses with outstanding performance and grades. Ms.
Charles achieved high levels of competence in planning and instruction, content
mastery, and organization. She spent time in various classroom settings
throughout her field work and student teaching. She is currently completing her
student teaching in the Tucson Unified School District, where she is doing an
exemplary job. She is demonstrating knowledge of her individual students goals
and needs while fully planning for instruction.
Aligned with the Arizona College and Career Readiness standards, Ms. Charles
lessons are highly engaging and culturally responsive. Her knowledge of the
curriculum allows lessons to be designed to meet the diverse learning styles of the
students in her classroom. She effectively uses technology during instruction and
includes hands-on activities often.
Ms. Charles is especially aware of students interests, strengths, and needs. She is
learning to use formative assessments to analyze students progress and guide her
instruction. She has quickly developed a strong rapport with students and her
classroom presence has always been one of caring, encouragement and patience.
Throughout her semesters in the Tucson Unified School District, Ms. Charles has
exuded professionalism. She took advantage of opportunities to spend time in a
multitude of classrooms. as well as attend several workshops and seminars. While
she is new to the teaching profession she is a fully capable and effective teacher.
At the same time she is always looking to improve herself and is able to grow from
constructive feedback.
Ms. Charles demonstrates a strong passion and dedication to education and to her
students success. With her amazing perseverance, strong work ethic,
communication skills, attention to detail, and dedication I am confident that she
