Week 1:
Day 1: Sunday 21st February 2016
In my first day in Al-Wahda private school I arrived at 7:30 and I greeted the teachers
and the students. In the assembly the students did some exercise and sang the national
anthem then the KG supervisor introduced my colleagues and me to the students and
told them what were are going to do with them. After the assembly my class KG2A
had English lesson, the teacher started by greeting the students, taking attendance and
collecting the students' dairies and homework. One of the students was misbehaving
in the classroom while the teacher was talking attendance so the teacher asked his
peers to remind him of the classroom rules. The teacher started the English lesson by
reviewing the previous letters they took which are (Ww Gg) the teacher asked
students to give her some words that start with letter Ww and she wrote the first letter
of the word on the white board then she asked two students to come individually and
complete the missing letters of the word. When the teacher finished writing the three
word that start with letters Ww Gg she gave the students their English workbooks to
do the worksheet on it. When the students finished doing the worksheet the teacher
corrected it for them then she collected the books and returned it on its shelf. The
teacher wrote different words in the white board and asked students to read them and
the ones who read the words right gets a star as a reward. After the English class
KG2A students had Arabic class and during the Arabic class I had a meeting with my
MST, we talked about the curriculum, what students learn and what they do in the
classes. In the math class the teacher asked the green table students to go outside with
the assistant and she explain the math lesson to the red table students then after 15
minutes the teacher swap between the students and the green table students came back
to the class to take the math lesson and the red table students went outside to play
with the assistant. Before the science class the students practiced a new song with the
teacher for the mother's day. In the science class the teacher started by asking the
students different questions about what they learn and take in science then she
reviewed with them the previous lesson. The lesson was about day and night, the
teacher asked different questions about the lesson then she read a story about the stars.
My MST drew two pictures on the white board the first picture sun and the second
one is star then she asked two students to come and write the name of the pictures
under them. After the writing activity the teacher reviewed the lesson with the
students and then they went home.
Day 2: Monday 22nd February 2016
In my second day in Al-Wahda private school I arrived at 7:35 and I greeted the
teachers and the students. In the assembly the students did some exercise and sang the
national anthem. After the assembly the teacher started the day by greeting the
students, taking attendance, collecting the students' diaries and practicing the mother's

day song with the students. In the English class the teacher started the lesson by
introducing the new letter which is letter (X x) and it's sound then she taught them
some words that has letter X in it, after that the teacher gave the students their
workbooks to do the worksheet and she was observing them when they were doing
the worksheet. After finishing the letter X worksheet the teacher introduced the letter
(V v) and did the same things she did in letter X. After finishing letter V the teacher
showed the students a video about letter X. in math class the teacher did hand painting
with the students, each student put his/her favorite color paint on his/her hand and
painted it on the plate to make 100 fingers to use it for the new lesson which is
"Counting by 10s until 100".
Day 3: Tuesday 23rd February 2016
In the assembly in Al-Wahda private school the students did some exercise and sang
the national anthem. After the assembly the teacher started the day by greeting the
students, taking attendance, collecting the students' diaries and reminding the students
of the rules. In the English class the teacher gave the students a sight new words
which are (want and said) the teacher wrote the new words on the board and asked the
students to read it. After reading the new words the teacher asked the students to give
her a sentence about what they want to be for example "I want to be a princess" and
she listened to the students answers. The teacher gave the students their notebooks to
write the word "want" and write the sentence they said about what they want to be.
After the lunch break the teacher asked me to take pictures of the students while they
are holding a board that is written on it what each student wants to be. While I was
taking the pictures the teacher was practicing the mother's day song with the other
students. In the math class the teacher started the lesson by showing a video then she
counted the painted hands they painted in the previous day. The lesson was about
counting by 10s until 100. The teacher gave the students a worksheet to write the
numbers by 10s until 100. In the last period the students had English class and in this
class they saw a video about the phonics then the teacher reviewed the letters and the
phonics for the students. After the revision the assistant took one group to do a game
with them and the teacher took the other group to do the work sheet with them when
they finished they switched the groups.
Day 4: Wednesday 24th February 2016
After the assembly in Al-Wahda private school the students went to their classes. In
KG2A the teacher started the morning circle by greeting, taking attendance, collecting
the dairies and reminding the students of the rules. After the morning circle the
students had English class and in this class they practiced the mother's day song for
the mothers' day event. The English lesson was about letter (V v) the teacher
introduced the letter by showing the students a video about the letter then she asked
the students to make letter V sound. After that the teacher gave the students their
English book to write the letter on it and do the worksheet, the teacher played some
songs for the students while they were doing the worksheet. The last two periods

KG2A had math and science; the teacher divided the students in to three groups, one
group did the reading activity with the teacher, the second group did a math
worksheet with me then they wrote a get well soon card for their sick friend and the
last group did the telescope painting with the assistant, when all of the groups finished
their activities we swapped between the groups until all of the students finished doing
the three activities. The teacher asked the students to sit in a circle in the carpet to
read for them the letter (V) story which was (a vet in a van) all of the students sit and
listen to the teacher. After that the students returned back to their groups to practice
reading the story by themselves.

Week 2:
Day 5: Sunday: 28th February 2016
In the assembly in Al-Wahda private school the students did some exercise and sang
the national anthem. After the assembly the students went to their classes. In KG2A
the teacher started the morning circle by greeting, taking attendance, collecting the
dairies and reminding the students of the rules. In the first period KG2A had English
class and in this class the teacher reviewed the previous letter for the students which
are letter (X x) and letter (V v) then she asked the students to make the letters sounds
and give her some words that start with letter (v) and some words that have letter (x)
after that the teacher gave the students their workbooks to write the letter on it. The
teacher started a new lesson in English which is letter (J j) she made the letter sound
and asked the students to guess the new letter after that all of the students stand up
and started to make letter (J j) sound. After the teacher played the mother's day song
and she let the students to practice it. For the new word the teacher taught KG2A
students the word (Me) and she asked the students to give her some sentences for the
new word after that the assistant gave the students their notebooks and the teacher
asked them to write the new word in it. The teacher showed the students a video about
the new word (Me). Ms.Lisa started the math lesson by playing a game with the
students which is counting the numbers then she started the new lesson which is (Use
the + symbol) by doing an activity to make students understand the lesson easily.
During the Islamic class I went to the playground with two students who do not attend
the Islamic classes. In the science class the green table students went outside to take
P.E class with the assistant while the red table students are taking science lesson with
the teacher, the lesson was about the "close and far away". The teacher only
introduced the lesson by asking the students different about the lesson topic then she
read a story for them about the lesson after finishing the story the green table returned
to the classroom to take the science lesson while the red table students went outside to
take P.E class.

Day 6: Monday 29th February 2016


After the assembly in Al-Wahda private school KG2A teacher started the morning
circle by greeting the students, taking attendance and singing a song. The teacher
started the new English lesson by introducing the new letter which is (Q q) and its
sound. The teacher asked the students to give her some words that start with letter (Q
q) then after hearing the students' answers she taught them some words that start with
letter (Q q). KG2A teacher reminded the students of the rules before giving them their
workbooks to do the worksheet. After doing the workbook the teacher asked the
students to sit on the carpet and make two lines one for boys and one for girls and she
did a small activity with them. The activity was about letters flashcard, the teacher
showed the students a flashcard and the students who sat on the first line has to
answer what letter it is on the card and when they answer right they go back to the end
of the line and the other students take turn until all of them finish answering but the
teacher stopped the activity in the middle because all of the students were being so
noisy and naughty. The teacher reviewed the previous word with the students which
was (Me) then she gave them a new word which is (What) and she asked the students
to ask different questions that start with (What) after listening to the students
questions the teacher gave the students their homework. In the math class the teacher
asked the students to sit on the carpet and she used the smart board to explain the
lesson. The teacher did a small activity to check if the students remember the (using +
symbol) lesson and she asked them about the (+) and the (=) signs. After the activity
the teacher asked the students to sit on their chairs to do the worksheet.
Day 7: Tuesday 1st March 2016
After the assembly KG2A students had English lesson as always. After the morning
circle routine the teacher started the letter (Q q) lesson by showing the students a
video about the letter and its phoneme then she introduced new words that start with
letter (Q q). After the song the teacher gave each group a thing to do but before giving
them their word she gave them instructions about what each group will do. The read
group students had to do the workbook with the teacher while the green table students
had to do the worksheet and the assistant was observing them. In the science class I
completed the previous lesson which was about (close and far away) I started the
lesson by the warm up activity then I asked the students different questions about the
lesson, after that I did the close and far away from me activity to check if the students
understood the meaning of close and the meaning of far away. After the first activity I
did the differentiation activities with the students and the teacher and the assistant
helped me to observe if all of the students are doing the right thing. When all of the
students finished doing the activities I ended the lesson by asking them different
question about what they learn, the activities and the lesson. In the math class the
teacher gave the students some questions about the (+) lesson and she wrote the
questions on the white board but she suddenly stopped the lesson before doing
anything because the students started to misbehave and being naught. The teacher put

a cartoon for the students on the smart board to make them sit quietly without making
any noise.
Day 8: Wednesday 2nd March 2016
On the 2nd of March I arrived in the school at 7:30 and there were no teachers their
expect the supervisor and the Islamic teacher, the other teachers came late because
there was a traffic on the road and because of that the school did not do the assembly
and I had to stay with KG2A students until the assistant arrived and then the teacher.
In the first class I started the morning circle by greeting the students, taking
attendance, asking them about the day and the date and reminding them of the rules. I
started the English lesson by doing a small warm up activity in the carpet then I asked
the students to sit on their places to start the lesson. After asking the students different
questions about the lesson I did the first activity with them then I asked the students to
make three groups to do craft work activities which were for the differentiation. In the
math lesson the teacher completed the previous lesson which was (use the + symbol)
and she did an activity with the students on the carpet and after the activity she gave
the students a worksheet to do it to check if they understood the lesson and know how
to use the (+) symbol.

Week 3:
Day 9: Sunday 6th March 2016
In the first day in the third week on teaching practice I arrived in Al-Wahda private
school at 7:40. I observed the students in the assembly; they did the daily routine
which is doing exercise, singing, saying the date, day and year, reading Quran and
singing the national anthem. After the assembly the teacher in KG2A started the day
with the daily routine in the morning circle then she sang with the students the letters
song. The teacher asked some of the students to look at things in the classroom that
has letter (Z z) then she asked them to give her some words that start with letter (Z z).
The teacher used the smart board to show the students letter Z then she showed them
some pictures of words that start with letter Z. the teacher took the English book and
she explained to the students what they will do when they sit on their chairs. Before
the Arabic class started the teacher asked the students to sit on the carpet to practice
the mother's day song. In the math class the students sat on the carpet and started to
count the numbers with the teacher while the assistant was putting cubes for each
student on his/her place. The teacher introduced the lesson by a video about it on the
smart board then she did a small activity with the students by asking them to put a
number on their hands by their fingers then she asks them to take away some fingers
then they count how many fingers are left. After the first activity the teacher gave the
students the instruction about the second activity which is using the cubes to subtract.
The students went to sit on their places and started to subtract by using the cubes. In
the science class it was the last class for the close and far away, the teacher wrote

some words on the white board and she asked the students to read them after that she
took the students to the circle outside to do the sun and star chairs activity. After the
science activity KG2A students had P.E class and the teacher played some games with
them and they did some exercises.
Day 10: Monday 7th March 2016
On my tenth day in the teaching practice in Al-Wahda private school I arrived in the
school at 7:40. The students did the daily routine in the assembly. After the assembly
in the English class after the morning circle routine the teacher asked the students to
write a sentence on the white board about why they love their mothers. The teacher
used the crown strategy for the students to talk (the one who wear the crown can talk
and the others have to listen to him/her) each one of the students said why they love
their mothers then they wrote it on the white board and the teacher took a picture for
each one of them to put it on KG2A wall outside the classroom. The students wanted
to say why they love their fathers so the teacher let each one of them to say why they
love their fathers. The teacher started the English lesson by reviewing the previous
word the students learnt (Me, what, this, want and here). The teacher asked the
students to sit on their places and she gave them a worksheet about the words. In the
fourth period I taught the students a small math lesson and it was an introduction for
the use the (-) symbol (subtraction). I showed them a video about subtraction and I
asked them different questions to check if they know the different between addition
and subtraction then the teacher asked the students to sit on their places to do the
worksheet. In the last period the teacher practiced the mother's day song with the
students then she let them play in the classroom by using the different materials, some
of the students watched a video on the smart board. After the last period I left the
school at 12:30.
Day 11: Tuesday 8th March 2016
On Tuesday I arrived in the school at 7:40 and I greeted the teacher and the students. I
helped my MST to take the students to the assembly. After the daily routine in the
assembly the students went to their classes. In the first period KG2A students had
English class but before the English class the teacher did the morning circle. In the
morning circle the teacher greeted the students, took attendance, sings the days of the
week song with the students and asked the students to say the day and the date. The
teacher started the English lesson by singing the letters song. The lesson was a
revision for letters G,W and U. the teacher asked the students to think about what
lesson they will take today then after listening to their answers she whispered the
letters to one of the students and asked the students to whisper to each other until they
all finish and the last student had to say the letter loudly. After that the teacher asked
the students to say any words that start with letters G, W or U. in the math lesson the
teacher asked the students to sit on the carpet and she explained to them what they
have to do. She made three groups, the first one did math activity for subtraction with
me, the second one did English words worksheet and reading with the teacher and the

last group had to draw their mothers for the mother's day with the assistant. After 15
minutes the groups had to switch between each other until all of the students did the
three activities. At 12:10 the students let the school and at 12:30 I left the school.
Day 12: Wednesday 9th March 2016
In the last day of teaching practice in the third week I arrived in the school at 7:40 and
I greeted my MST and the students. At 7:45 the students went to the assembly. After
the assembly KG2A students had Arabic classes the first two periods then in the third
period they had math lesson. In the math lesson I taught them use (-) symbol lesson. I
greeted the students then I introduced the lesson by asking the students different
question, showing them a video then telling them the Zoo animals story. I explained
to the students the activities and what each group will do. I conclude the lesson by
writing different subtraction questions on the board and asking the students to come
and write the answers. In the lunch time I had a meeting with my MCT and MST and
we talked about the lesson I taught and classroom management strategies. After the
meeting I went with KG2A students outside to the playground to see the rain. In the
fourth period KG2A students had English class and the teacher reviewed with them
letters G, J and Z. in the middle of the lesson one of the boys was not feeling well so I
took him to the nurse to check his temperature and she gave him medicine then I took
him back to the classroom. After the English class the students played in the
classroom until 11:30 then they went home because of the rain the school canceled the
last period and all of the students left early. At 12:00 I left the school.

Week 4:
Day 13: Sunday 10th April 2016
On the first day of teaching practice in Al-Wahda private school after the spring
holiday I arrived in the school at 7:45. I greeted the teachers and I went to the
assembly. In the assembly the students did the daily routine. After the assembly I
went to my class and I greeted the students. The teacher started the first class by
greeting the students, taking attendance, reviewing the rules and asking the students
about what they did in the holiday. My MST practiced with the students what they
have to say and do when they need something or when they want to ask a question.
After the practice the teacher played (head, shoulders, knees and toes) song on the
smart board and the students sang and did the movements. The students played some
games with the teacher and did some exercise before they count the numbers until ten
and sing the ABC song. After that the teacher played (counting the numbers until 100)
song on the smart board and the students sang along and did the movements. Before
the Arabic class started the teacher practiced letter (A a) with the students and she
asked them about its sound. Before the lunch break KG2A students had English class.
The teacher started a new lesson which is introducing long A (magic e). The teacher
explained the lesson by giving examples and explaining them then she gave the

students their workbooks to do the papers. In the fifth class KG2A students had a
math lesson. Before starting the lesson the teacher asked the red table students to go
outside with the assistant and the green table students had to stay in the classroom to
take the math lesson. The lesson was about spheres and cubes. The teacher showed
the students a video about cubes then she gave them papers that have six squares to
make a cube. The teacher asked the students to color the squares first then we (me and
my MST) help the students glue the papers to make a cube for them. When the green
table students finished they went outside with Ms. Eman and the red table students
made cubes. At 12:15 the students went to their houses and I left the school at 12:30.
Day 14: Monday 11th April 2016
I arrived in the kindergarten at 7:40 and I greeted the teacher and the students in the
assembly. In the first class after the daily morning circle the teacher reviewed the
previous lesson with the students which is (magic e). The new lesson was about a new
word which is the word help. The teacher read a story about help for the students then
they went to their places, one group did the worksheet and the other group did the
workbook when they finished they swapped. After the lunch break time KG2A
students had a math class. In the math class the teacher reviews the previous lesson
with the students which is (cube). The teacher showed the students a card that had a
picture of a cube and she asked the students to say its name then she asked one of the
students to look for a cube in the classroom. The new lesson was about (sphere) the
teacher explained the lesson by showing some pictures of sphere and asking the
students to repeat the word sphere after her. After the explanation the teacher showed
the students a flashcard that has a picture of a sphere and she asked one of the
students to search for a sphere object in the classroom. After this activity the students
went to their places and started to do the math book. In the second English lesson I
taught the students a lesson and it was a revision for the alphabets. I started the lesson
by the warp up, I asking the students about the letters and I asked them to sing the
ABC song while it was playing in the smart board. I did a whole class activity after
the warm up then I did different activities for the students' different levels. At 12:15
the students went to their houses and I left the school at 12:30.
Day 15: Tuesday 12th April 2016
In my third day in the fourth week on teaching practice I arrived in Al-Wahda private
school at 7:40. I observed the students in the assembly; they did the daily routine
which is doing exercise, singing, saying the date, day and year, reading Quran and
singing the national anthem. After the assembly the teacher in KG2A started the day
with the daily routine in the morning circle. In the English class the teacher completed
the long A (magic e) lesson, she showed the students different videos about the lesson
and different words after that the students went to their places and the teacher wrote
some words that has long A (magic e) and she asked the students to read them. After
practicing reading the words the teacher showed the students some videos on the
smart board then she reviewed the word they took the previous class which was (help)

then she gave them a new word which is (too) and she gave them some examples. In
the P.E class the teacher played some graduation songs for the students and she asked
them to choose one and dance to it. After the lunch time I taught KG2A students a
math lesson and it was about cylinders and cones. I started the lesson by doing the
warm up then I showed the students video about the cone and explained it then I
showed them video about cylinder and explained it to them. I did the whole class
activity then I did the differentiation activities after that I gave them the worksheet for
the closing activity. After the math class I asked my MST to take 5 students and
practice with them for the performing art. At 12:15 the students went to their houses
and I left the school at 12:30.
Day 16: Wednesday 13th April 2016
In my last day in the fourth week of teaching practice I arrived in the kindergarten at
7:40. I greeted the teachers and the students then I observed the students in the
assembly. After the assembly I went to the classroom and my MST was not there
because she is sick and she decided to come late to the school. I did the morning circle
for the students. I took attendance, reviewed the rules and played a song for them.
After the morning circle I took permission from the supervisor to take six students of
my class and practice with them for the performing arts in the recourses room. I took
the six students and I practiced with them the Pinocchio song. After the first period
KG2A students had Arabic class for two periods. After the lunch time my MST came
and I taught the students a science lesson about the sizes, colors and shapes. I started
the lesson by doing the warm up then I showed the students a video about the shapes
and I asked them different questions then I showed them a video about the colors and
I asked them to stand up to dance and do the movements. I did a small activity for the
colors which is asking some of the students to fine some of the colors in the
classroom. After the colors activity I explained to the students the sizes (big, small,
short and tall). I did the first activity for the whole class then I did the differentiation
activities after that I did the closing activity and I reviewed the lesson with the
students. After the science class the students had a math class, the teacher started the
lesson by drawing the 3D shapes in the white board and does a review for the
students. I help my MST to review the 3D shapes for the students and I did a small
activity with them because the teacher was tired. In the last period the teacher
practiced the graduation song with the students. At 12:15 the students left the
kindergarten and I left at 12:30.

Week 5:
Day 17: Sunday 17th April 2016
After the assembly in Al-Wahda private school KG2A students went to their class to
start the first class. In the first class the teacher did the daily morning circle then she
started the English lesson. The teacher started the English class by introducing the
new lesson which is long I magic e. Ms. Lisa played a song about the magic e in the
smart board then she explained the lesson by giving examples and asking the students
different question. After that the students went to sit on their chairs to do the
workbook. The teacher observed the students while they were doing the book then she
asked them to sit on the carpet to read a story for them about the lesson. After the
story my MST showed the students different videos until the first class finished. In the
math class the lesson was about the missing numbers 1 100. The teacher started the
lesson by counting the numbers from 1 to 100 with the students then she showed them
different videos about the numbers. After that the teacher played a game with the
students on the smart board about the missing numbers. After the game the students
sat on their chairs to do the worksheet. In the science class the teacher did a review for
the previous lesson which is sorting objects by its size, color and shape. The teacher
discussed the lesson with the students and she asked them different questions then she
read a story for them from the science book. At 12:00 the students started to leave the
kindergarten and I left at 12:30.
Day 18: Monday 18th April 2016
On Monday April 18th I arrived in Al-Wahda private school at 7:45. After the
assembly my MST did the daily routine morning circle. In the English class the lesson
was about introducing high frequency word (play). The teacher introduced the song
by asking the students different questions then showing them a video about the word.
The teacher gave the students examples about the new word then she wrote it for them
on the smart board. After that the teacher asked the students to give her examples that
have the word (play). My MST read a story about the word play to the students then
she asked the students to sit on their places to do the word (play) worksheet. After the
lunch break time KG2A students had a math class. In the math class the lesson was
about writing the numbers from 1 to 100. The teacher started the lesson by asking the
students to count the numbers then she showed them a video about the numbers from
1 to 100 and she asked the students to dance and sing with the video. When the
students finished singing and dancing the teacher asked them to sit on their places and
she gave them a worksheet to write the numbers. After that the students had Arabic
and Islamic classes then At 12:00 the students started to leave the kindergarten and I
left at 12:30.

Day 19: Tuesday 19th April 2016


In my last day in teaching practice in Al-Wahda private school I greeted the KG
faculty and the students. After the assembly I went to KG2A classroom and I
observed them in the first class which is English. After the daily morning circle the
teacher reviewed the previous lesson which is high frequency word (play) the teacher
asked the students to spell the word and give her examples that has the word play.
After the revision the teacher gave the students a new word which is (has) the teacher
explained the new word by giving the students examples then she asked the students
to give her examples. After that she gave them a worksheet about the word has. In the
second class the teacher completed the English lesson and she gave the students
different examples and new words about the long I magic e lesson then she gave the
students the workbook to finish the lesson. After finishing the English lesson the
teacher introduced a new lesson in science which is rough and smooth squares by
asking the students to feel their skins and telling her how it feels. The teacher brought
different objects to explain the lesson then she played a video on the smart board
about the lesson and she asked the students different questions about different objects
and if they are rough or smooth. Before the break time KGA had a small party and
they played different games and they danced to different music. In the math class the
teacher asked the students to count the numbers from 1 to 100 then she showed them a
video. After the video the teacher gave the students a worksheet to write the missing
number. When the students finished the worksheet they gave me a goodbye card and a
small present. I said goodbye to the students, my MST and the assistant then I left the
classroom because they have Arabic classes. Before I leave the kindergarten I said
goodbye to the teacher and the other KG students then I left the kindergarten.
