Counselor On-Going Priorities:


Participates in a minimum of four professional development trainings yearly as required by the Department of Guidance and
Counseling, to include Ethics, CTE updates, HB5, EL, SPED, and Gifted and Talented updates; counseling topics such as
abuse/neglect, suicide ideation/prevention, anti-bullying, student audits/PGP maintenance and Rachels Challenge.
Establishes and assists in the vertical alignment of the counseling program PK-12 through PLCs.
Collaborates with the Department of Guidance and Counseling, AREA, and TIS on student audits (middle and high school) and
student records (all levels).
Collaborates with the Department of Guidance and Counseling in submitting monthly data logs, to include volunteer hours, as
required.
Collaborates with the Department of Guidance and Counseling and AREA in verifying and charting assessments, retakes, and exit
criteria for all students.
Per district protocol, report all incidences of suicidal ideation and/or abuse and neglect submissions to CPS, to the Departments of
Guidance and Counseling, Health Services, and Security, and to appropriate campus administrative staff.
