Combining like terms Project

This is an in class project

Due: Thursday Feb. 11, 2016

You have two options for this project.

1. Create a Vine using the Vine App
In this project, you will work in groups of two or three create a 6 second
video about combining like terms. You will take one combining like terms
problem that uses variable or symbols and show the processes of combining
like terms. You do not have to explicitly explain the problem, but you must
get the concept of combining like terms from your video.
Required Materials:
A smartphone with the free Vine app installed
Pencil, paper

Your video will be graded based on the ability to understand what you are
trying to represent. Mrs. Eveler will show you examples of videos. You will
present it to the class using the projector in the front of the room on
Thursday Feb. 11, 2016.

2. Create and perform an original skit

For this project, you will work in groups of two or three to create an original
skit about combining like terms. The skit must be at least 2 minutes long,
and explain the concept of combining like terms. You can use symbols or
variables in your example, and does not need to explicitly explain a single
problem.
Required Materials:
Group of two or three
Pencil, paper to write script

Your skit will be graded based on the ability of the audience to understand
the concept of combining like terms. The skits will be performed on
