I believe that a facilitators role should be to foster a love of


learning so that education is not limited to the classroom,
textbooks, or worksheets. It is the facilitators responsibility,
through

culturally

responsive

instruction,

to

cultivate

an

environment where students feel safe, respected, and loved, and in


turn students internalize a passion for life long learning.

My employment with the RLASD began in 2009 as a 5th grade


language arts teacher. The following year I moved to the 2nd grade
team due to an increase in numbers. In 2013 I began teaching
