Seuss Day 3/2/16

I was able to help set up for Dr. Seuss Day as well as attend the assembly and
parade. This was such a wonderful day altogether! When I helped set up for the day, I
helped at the beginning of the process. I wrapped boxes for the main characters to rest on
in the hallways. One of the boxes was used for a time machine as well! It was interesting
to see how much work the Reading Team accomplished in just one week! The halls were
transformed to a world of Seuss. I loved hearing the students and the teachers reactions
to the hallway. I loved seeing how the hallway could change the feeling of the school!
Communication and planning were so important in this event. The leadership
team had to communicate and keep their plan throughout. I only saw the first day and the
last day, but I know from speaking with them that communication and planning
The assembly was adorable! I loved seeing the teachers dressed up, and the
administration was completely into the theme! Students performed and read written
pieces to the school, and I loved to hear their writing.
