Chapter 1: Daily Writing

1. Select visuals and icons that are free from cultural bias and that
are not taboo in the non-native speakers country.
2. When in doubt, consult someone from the native speakers
country.
3. Do not try to pack too much information into a single sentence;
considering two or more sentences instead.
4. Choose clear, commonly used words that unambiguously
translate into the non-native speakers language.
5. Use clear, easy-to-understand sentences, and not rambling,
complex ones.
6. It is important that you do not offend someone from another
country with certain words or colors, because you are
representing your company, job, or organization.
